Childrens lifestyle portraits with their parents: Winterton Beach Photography

I photograph lots of large family groups but also encourage smaller families to take up the opportunity of a lifestyle shoot. It’s a great chance not only to have fun by getting out and having a bit of fresh air and adventure but also to record a snippet of life as a bit of a time capsule to be looked back upon in the future. As a father of a young family myself I really see the value in lifestyle portraits as they’re more about fun and personality but also about recording things like childhood attitudes and imagination. I personally was brought right back to my childhood imagination by the photograph below of a young girl pretending to be either a bird or a plane as she runs amongst the sand dunes.

We had great fun at Winterton Beach, it’s a great place to go, there’s amenities, an almost endless beach and sand dunes that are as beautiful as they are important. The family walked and rambled through the dunes, played hide and seek, paddled in the sea, lay in the sand, sat on driftwood logs and generally had a great time. There was even time for sibling cuddles which are another thing that must become something of a rarity when we get older 🙂
