Family Photography: Norfolk Portrait Photographer

I first photographed this family when the young lady in these photographs was but a few months old. Back then her brother did a great job of looking after her particularly when it came to me photographing them together without their parents. Now his sister is much older, loves pushing her push chair at about ninety miles per hour and is certainly more able to assert herself. As an older brother it’s fair to say that he’s now got more of a job on his hands, but he takes it all in his stride 😉

It’s great having the privilege to photograph families repeatedly, seeing them grow, chatting about different experiences of being a parent, enjoying being re-educated as to the joys of childhood. There’s nothing that gives me more pleasure than supplying photographs to families knowing that they’ll be held dear, be used as a record, be used to look at the next generation to compare eyes, chins, hair colour etc between parents and children’s childhood photographs, be used as reminders of childhood personalities, and for parents and children alike to measure the changing seasons of their own lives.

Autumn although it gives way to Winter is a great time for photographs, it’s all about the colours, about the chance to wear some bright warm woolly clothes again and to have some fun without fear of getting too hot, and well there’s sometimes even puddles, every adult should try and remember the appeal of puddles 😉
