Lifestyle Photography: North Norfolk Coast

Sometimes a location holds a special place in your heart. This was the case with the father of a family based in the USA who revisited a childhood holiday haunt with his family earlier this year. I was invited along by his wife to produce some lifestyle photographs for the family on their visit, to document not only the visit but the family at a special stage in their lives.

Lifestyle photography outdoors in the countryside particularly at a beach is great as adventure and exploration is a big part of childhood and brings out the best in kids when they’re being photographed. I became very conscious that Dad on this particular shoot was not only keen to share his childhood adventures with his boys but was also on finding himself back at his special location letting himself enjoy a bit of a childhood adventure. As for mum well I think she was enjoying watching her boys enjoy themselves.

It was a great morning, late summer, before the crowds built up at the beach and wonderful fun. The guys explored the woods, found rope swings, climbed on trees, and then headed out onto the beach to jump over the surf, and enjoy time with mum and dad.
