Lockdown Family photographer Life

Writing blogs about being a family photographer often features my client shoots, but with more and more people choosing to not want to feature online I thought this blog could be about my own family during lockdown.

During lockdown my family and I enjoyed endless walks, whether it was to the local farm shops to pick up lovely local food and basic foodstuffs or simply getting out of the house and homeschooling for an hour to visit the local woods. We wandered, in all sorts of weather and through a number of seasons. It was no surprise to me on a recent holiday to the Lake District that my girls were walking up and over hills with ease and completing walks that adults would be proud of, let alone to young ladies.

It was a great time, one I’ll remember fondly, having nothing to do but walk was quite often a bit of a wonderful situation for us. We got to enjoy seasons, insects, lovely local foods etc.

Oh, and occasionally, I’d decide that just walking wasn’t enough, and as a photographer I’d carry a great big heavy camera or two just as I do with my family shoots 🙂 Again, more recording of memories and moments, but this time for me and mine.

I hope you like a few photos from one such walk, around Burlingham woods in Norfolk, I think we stopped off at the farm shop for some food and carried backpacks full back to the carpark in addition to the cameras.
