New baby photography, family gathering portraits.

I love getting to know client’s and there’s nothing nicer than being asked to cover multiple great events for a family, from weddings to the arrival of new members of a family.

This shoot was a bit special, the family had been called in from their respective homes to the house of a new and very rightly proud pair of grandparents. A weekend together, lots of fun with the new baby boy in the family, lots of proud uncles and aunts, and the opportunity to have some photographs taken to record the family’s new addition.

The weather didn’t quite play ball, this happens sometimes and if you can’t get out in the gorgeous garden for too long due to the wet, then sometimes finding a space indoors is a great place to start a shoot and wait for the weather to improve. The sun didn’t exactly blaze but the rain stopped and we managed to step outside for some photographs incorporating lots of colourful flowers. We managed to get quite a few of the youngest member of the family before he needed to retire for a quick snooze. I then moved onto capturing some photographs of his proud Aunts and Uncles before fulfilling a request to capture some photographs of the family’s canine charges.

I don’t always get asked by proud Uncles if they can have a photograph with their new nephew on their own but did on this occasion. Just another indication as to how much of a loving family this little boy is entering.
