Norfolk Family Photographer: Hill House Birthday Celebration

Significant birthdays give family’s a great opportunity to get together for a celebration and often finding a holiday home for a bit of a relaxing break enjoying each other’s company is the perfect solution.

Hill House in Newton Flotman just south of Norwich provides a great place to stay for a larger family intent on a relaxing holiday with lots to see and do within easy reach. Hill house itself is an impressive edifice that sleeps 17 people, has it’s own tennis courts and a games room and a great large garden. Add to this that it’s also dog friendly and you can see why the family I met there for a relaxed portrait session choose it as the location for their stay.

Dad’s birthday was the reason for the session, and the session and the family stay were enjoyed with sons, daughters and partners and grandchild. We started the session with a few informal photographs around the property before taking a short walk through the surrounding countryside on small footpaths past fields upon fields finding an abandoned church in a small patch of woodland. Returning to Hill House’s garden we took some more photographs of the family enjoying a bit of good weather before returning indoors to take a few photographs using some of the house’s lovely windows and doors as backgrounds for some informal portraits.

On this occasion dad was chuffed to receive his images in time to show them to his own aunt when he visited her after the session. I hope you like a small selection of the photographs from an afternoon at Hill House.
