WELCOME to the website of Norfolk Family Photographer Phil Barnes. I provide relaxed, natural and professional portrait photography sessions for family, children and babies throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
My photography style is relaxed and often described as lifestyle photography. I believe the best portrait photographs are images of families enjoying themselves either in the great outdoors or in the comfort of their home or even holiday home. I like to try and introduce a bit of adventure and lots of fun to entertain children, a bit of fresh air and time away from work for parents, and a bit of quality family time for grandparents, to my portrait sessions.
Whether you’re on holiday and looking to record some great memories, having a family reunion, a bit of a special party for a birthday or anniversary, or just looking to capture a special moment in your time as a family then I’m happy to help out, and talk to you about your photography needs.
Where you have your portrait session is up to you? In over 10 years of family and portrait photography I’ve visited many beaches all year round, lots of woodlands to see spring bluebells or summer foxgloves, beautiful heaths, some great parks, large and small holiday homes, lovely family homes to photograph new babies and lots of lovely locations for family parties. Don’t worry if you don’t know the area, I’m almost a bit of an expert on places to visit in Norfolk and Suffolk and I’m learning more about Cambridgeshire on each visit, and will be glad to give you advice.
Are you worried about being a big group to photograph, or how your children or baby will behave? Please don’t worry, my portrait sessions have included large groups on a regular basis, and I’ve become quite good at remembering lots of names. As for children and babies, I’ve got a huge amount of patience, I never rush family and baby sessions, and as well as being a parent myself I like to plan adventure and fun into sessions that engage children and give them a chance to run off steam, relax and have fun.
