It’s been a long time coming but I’m glad to be out and about again photographing families. Last week I went to both Winterton and Old Hunstanton beaches and had a great time photographing two lovely families on holiday in this beautiful county of Norfolk.
The family I met in Old Hunstanton are a new family, with mum and dad being customers who I saw about 4 years ago for a couple’s shoot marking their first wedding anniversary. A few years later and they’re proud parents of an energetic little man, who liked nothing more than to ask their photographer to photograph all the wildlife he saw during our family portrait session 🙂 Alas I didn’t have any lenses on my cameras suitable for snapping wildlife: that included gulls nesting on Old Hunstanton’s cliffs, and skeins of low flying geese flying over the water just off the beach.
Old Hunstanton, slightly out of season, quiet in the morning, toilets, car parking, cafe doing good trade. Sun out, sea on it’s way in and a serenity that’s no doubt going to change during summer this year.
We had great fun, someone enjoyed digging in the sand, mum and dad enjoyed swinging the little guy between them and giving him hugs and rides on shoulders, and then there was a bit of hide and seek and more than a little acting the pirate discovering treasure which included long lost old door hinges and keys from the many beach huts that nestle beautifully in Old Hunstanton’s sand dunes.
Here’s a few photographs of the morning, I hope you like them and if you’d like a shoot please get in touch as soon as you can, as it looks like it’s going to be a busy summer.
