Whitlingham Country Park: Norwich Family Photographer

As a Norwich Family Photographer I photograph extended family groups and small family groups. This can be for special occasions such as significant birthdays, or anniversaries or simply because you wish to capture a little family life in the moment. Whitlingham Country Park on the edge of Norwich was the destination for this family lifestyle session last year. Whitlingham has a large lake, areas of long grassland and woods and mature avenues of trees; perfect if you need to escape the glare of the sun.

For this photoshoot we were photographing a small family with their respective grandparents. We went to a lime tree avenue, ancient hall ruins, a field of long natural grasses and generally explored the park a little. You can never quite tell potential clients how much more in their element children are when outside for photography sessions, and they’re not the only ones. Everyone is much more relaxed outside in the fresh air and there’s no doubting that modern camera technology further facilitates relaxed family shoots in that there’s no necessity to stay still for every photograph with walking family shots being a favourite of mine simply because everyone relaxes more when they’re walking rather than standing or sitting.
